Day four.
Keith was fishing in an all-natural glacier lake (Snow Lake) for all-natural trout.
Didn't catch any, but he enjoyed trying :)
This lake was one of my favorite places around Mt. Rainier. It's just so peaceful and so gorgeous there!

It helps that this recipe is truly AMAZING and stupidly simple to make. I'm 90% sure you already have everything but the salmon sitting around your house. I only wish I had the time to make some steamed broccoli and white rice to go with it!
They recommend using foil for easy clean up... It probably is easier, but please be green and build some muscles by scrubbing the pan :)

Fade to Black
I was originally taking photos of flowers, but got extremely distracted with our bottles of food coloring. :D
I chose this picture because of how all of the colors combine into black at the bottom... There's so much beauty in how the colors swirl above the chaos at the bottom of the vase.
There are other food coloring photos here.

I picked up posterboard today, and did my first shoot in the new lightbox.
I took pictures with the fruit directly on the paper, and in a few different glass bowls. The ones in bowls had better lighting... That is really what has me thinking that I need more reflection within the box.

I didn't actually take a picture today, so I'm recycling one that I didn't use from last month.

Another weimaraner from my boyfriend's house. This little girl is named Haley. They watch her on the weekends for a friend...
I tried to get a shot without the flash (I hate it and forgot to turn it off). But weim's are hyper dogs, and she's still very young, so it was impossible to get her to sit still again. She was just too excited that I was paying attention to her :)
A few days ago I also took a picture of Rem. I thought it would be cool to get both of them together so you can see the difference in their coats. If you're interested, that picture is here.

I've taken pictures of pieces of me for this project (feet, hair, eye, sunburn, etc), but I haven't done a true self portrait until now.
The coloring was off in all of the pictures I took, so I added a bokeh texture to it to make it look pretty. I thought about editing out the top of my bed (bottom right-hand corner) but laziness won out again and I decided that trying to make it look good by my arm would be a huge pain.
(P.S. I really am wearing a shirt. My hair is covering it.)

Beanie Babies! These are the two that started my family on a long love-affair with Ty products.
Instead of doing homework Monday, I decided that I wanted to do a little photoshoot of our Beanie Baby bears. I ended up pulling ALL 130+ of our regular sized Beanie Babies out and spent an hour taking pictures of stuffed animals.
I'm not sure what this says about me. Moving on...
This is the last picture in the ones that I have so far that I'm going to say this: Bad lighting. In this photo, it's coming from the window behind the Beanie Babies, when it was overcast outside. And while I turned the living room lights on to try and balance it out with a warmer light source, it didn't seem to work.
I have a full set of these to edit and post on Flickr. I'll add a link to the set when I get it all finished, probably in a few days.

Cable suspension on the bridge to Index, WA.
I left my house way early this morning in order to spend the entire day in Index for my Environmental History of the Pacific Northwest Bioregion (lol @ the title) class.
My group got a few pages of information we can use for our research project. Definitely not worth the ENTIRE day. We spent a few hours just listening to a old mountain man named Bob tell us about forest cities and how he's the mayor of the forest.
I wish I was kidding about that.
I took a lot of beautiful pictures of the Cascades and the river. You can't go wrong with the scenery up there. However, the best picture I took today was that one above. One of the ladies in my class told me it would make a cool picture, and she wasn't wrong. She reminded me that I need to look up, not just down and in front of me. :)
