I was out in the garden picking both of these today. I couldn't decide which picture to post, and I have been wanting to do something like this for a while now. :)

I picked up posterboard today, and did my first shoot in the new lightbox.



I took pictures with the fruit directly on the paper, and in a few different glass bowls. The ones in bowls had better lighting... That is really what has me thinking that I need more reflection within the box.

This is a blueberry - banana - peach smoothie.



Yes, as a matter of fact, I do drink a lot of these damn things.




I'm drinking another one of these same smoothies today (5/25) because:

a) it is a faaaaaaabulous smoothie combo

b) I still have bananas that are turning brown, and bags of frozen blueberries and peaches.

The look of this smoothie was really cool :)

This is a Summer Berry Slush smoothie. Which is basically made by throwing any sort of berry you have into the blender with some ice (or throw in frozen berries and skip the ice). It also called for orange juice, but since I'm allergic I skipped it.

Again with the terrible lighting. From the month that I've taken pictures so far, I have already realized that lighting is the biggest hurdle in my way.

The lighting here also came from the French doors. It was overcast (rather than sunny like in yesterday's picture), and I used my flash. Now that I think about it, I should have turned on the lamp above the table as well to balance out the two harsh light sources that I was using.

This weekend + me = terrible photos.

I am the Smoothie Queen.
My smoothies are extremely simple (sometimes bland) recipes, and I that's how I love them!


This pretty one was pear, raspberry, and honey.
(I used half Sprite half water for the liquid.)

The taste?
Absolutely amazing! Definitely worth trying.
I'll post the recipe if anyone is interested!
