Before I get started with pictures, a bit about me beyond what my personal profile says...


This will become painfully obvious over the next few months, however I feel it should be stated with pride: I live in the Pacific Northwest. More specifically, I live in the beautiful state of Washington. Believe it or not, we do get sunny days! You'll see a few, I promise.


I'm an environmental studies major, focusing on sustainability and society. I'm particularly interested in long-term sustainability, with a focus in water and food sustainability. In the future (aka: after college) I plan to buy/eat more local goods and food and have already made little steps toward reducing my consumption. I have a passing interest in restoration and conservation - we'll see where my interests there go. However, my greatest environmental loves are the ocean and the forest. In other words, I love Western WA.

With this said, there absolutely will be times when posts trickle off. I can tell you this now. No worries - I haven't given up (and I know there will be times when I want to). I'm pretty swamped with my studies and there will be times when I just can't spare the time to update. I will try to keep updating weekly, at the very least.



Any other things you should know about me, you will definitely learn over the upcoming year. Like, for example, my unhealthy obsession with macro photography and my current goal to master selective focus (which I also refer to as bokeh).
