Bokeh!!! :)

I feel like I cropped this one oddly, but after four tries this is the one I kept.

I have a love/hate relationship with this photo. I've debated for a while whether I love it or if it could be better.

Being an artistic perfectionist has its downfalls at times.

In the end the teeny little orange curls beat me down and I have decided that I love it :)

These were stolen from the various bouquets of flowers that are around my house right now. Including the bouquet my coworkers gave me when I left my old store :(

I've been doing a lot of still life and lightbox work lately. The main reason for this is that I have been working more than I am used to and am only up for taking pictures when it is dark out. I think you can tell that I'm in bit of a creative lull, as well.

I have been wanting to take a close-up of a reflection in a rain (sprinkler) drop for a very long time. It didn't come out too bad, for what I'm working with :)

I like this closer version better, but Tom told me that he liked the one I posted here better because you can see what flower it is. Which makes sense, the picture needs to have a context to frame it.

Shamelessly copying my picture from the 7th.

I still like the photo from the 7th better, though :)

This is a nectarine and watermelon smoothie. It was probably the most amazing smoothie I have ever had in my life. :D

And yes, I recycled the red flower from yesterday.

I'm really happy with this shot... With my other camera, the shots were usually too dark and lacked the pop of good coloring. I didn't have to edit at all for brightness/contrast or color :D Just for sharpness!

And a bonus? The top right-hand corner has pretty bokeh :D

It took me twice as long to get this shot with my new camera! It's been hard for me to get used to. I harassed this poor little bee forever.

I know I take too many outside pictures. It's just too pretty, sunny, warm, colorful, and bright outside to be taking indoor pictures! :D

Here, I was playing with my ISO levels (50) and using backlighting.

I'm really happy with this one... All I did was soften it and adjust brightness/contrast.

Another scene from my mom's flower garden.

I like this one, but feel that I spend too much time taking pictures in this garden. I think another challenge is in order... I'm not going to take pictures in my yard for the rest of June.

Anyone want to suggest a theme to me? I'm interested in hearing ideas :)

I was going for a soft, faded floral look with the editing on this. Not sure that I like how it turned out, though... I love bright, crisp, sharp images. What do you guys think?

This is how I found the petals by our garden. I didn't touch them :)

I'm very happy with this one... I took something like seven shots, and this is the only one in which the bee is in focus.

The hot weather has made our clematis plant bloom like crazy. I am extremely happy with how this picture came out!

This is my first time uploading a larger size, in case anyone would like to use it for a wallpaper. You can find the sizes here. Please let me know if it works okay!

(I tried to upload it in 1280x800 but for some reason Flickr beat down my attempts at individualism and now that size isn't available. Hmm.)

A display of tulips at Pike Place.

I love how this one came out!

Two things you can tell just by this picture:

1) Finals are coming closer and I have no time to go beyond my backyard for photo opportunities.

2) There is next to nothing growing in my parent's garden at the moment.

Also, I have to admit something: I didn't take this picture on this day. On this day I went to school, came home early because of a migraine, slept for two hours, ate dinner, and slept off and on for the rest of the night.

Finally: Good lighting! :D

I'm really happy with how this one came out.

Plus, I got a nice reflection in there!

It would have been better if I had taken the time to wipe the table down, but I don't know that my boyfriend's mom would have approved of me going around cleaning her house, lol.
