The third day of my mystery theme...

These are rocks that my mom and I keep by our pictures of my aunt who passed away last year. They had them at her funeral, by the pictures, and wanted family to have them.



I wanted to do this theme before we started, but now that I'm in the middle of it it's just not jiving with me. We'll see if the last day comes out any better.

Lisa's (my boyfriend's mom) 50th birthday was today! And her awesome "AARP" cake fits perfectly into my four-day theme.



This was also my first time testing my new camera in less than ideal lighting.


I'll have to try it again... I don't like the results that I got, and I couldn't remember where in the menu I can change what lighting I'm in.




You can ignore the rest of this if you don't want to hear me whine :)


I have the rest of my pictures taken up to today's, but I literally have no time to upload any more than what I've done today. Wednesday is my last day of class and we have a presentation. I just got the data from the last person today, and it was supposed to be handed to me on Wednesday. I had Wednesday off, and most of the day Thursday to finish everything. Now I work 8.5 hour days for the next three days and don't have time to work on the project.

Ugh. Don't ya love people?

The first day of a four-day theme.

This is a photo of some cute little magnets I have in my room.



I also picked up a bunch of cheap scrapbook paper to give myself a variety of backgrounds to choose from for my lightbox shots.

I took A LOT of texture pictures today when I probably could have been doing more productive things. This happened to be the best out of the ones that I shot.

Any guesses as to what it is? I think it's pretty easy, but then again I'm the one that took the picture ;)

The seventh (and final) day of my simple pleasures theme.


Today's topic: Is complicated.


Let's start with a story.


When I was much younger (think elementary school) I loved playing the "Guess the Macro" puzzles in the back of the National Geographic for Kids magazines. To tell you a secret: I still love those things, lol. So there's my first simple pleasure.


The second is actually what this picture is of.


But I can't tell you what that is.


You have to guess. :)
